Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Director, Dy. Director, Field Man and Computor under the AERC and CCS, sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, GOI. A. Under the Agro-Economic Research Centre for
I. No. of post:-1
II. Essential Qualification:
(i) Passed 10th and 12th standard with at least 55% marks in aggregate at both the levels.
(ii) Passed Bachelor’s degree in agriculture with OGPA at least 6.50 in 10 point scale or equivalent mark followed by Master’s degree in the concerned discipline of Economics/Agricultural Economics.
(iii) 55 % marks or an equivalent OGPA of 3.00 in 4.00 scale or 7.00 in 10.00 scale at the Master’s degree level from an
(iv) Fifteen years of service experience in teaching/research/extension out of which 5 years in the rank of professor excluding period spent for obtaining Ph. D degree.
(v) Ph. D degree in any field of the concerned discipline of Economics/Agricultural economics.
(vi) Scientific contribution as evidenced by quality of publication in reputed journals/books/work graphs etc. Quality of publication shall be judged as per list published by National Academy of Agriculture Sciences,
III. Desirable:
(i) Knowledge of rural agricultural situation in
(ii) Knowledge of local language of
(iii)Administrative experience of office management
IV. Pay scale: 37400-67000 (Grade Pay –Rs.10000)
2. Name of the post: Deputy Director in the rank of Associate Professor.
I. No. of post:-1
II. Essential Qualification:-
Serial No. (i), (ii) and (iii) are same with the post of Director.
(iv) 15 years of experience in the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent rank excluding the period spent for obtaining Ph. D.
(v) Ph. D degree in any field of the concerned discipline of Economics/Agricultural economics.
(vi) Scientific contribution as evidenced by quality of publication in reputed journals/books/work graphs etc. Quality of publication shall be judged as per list published by National Academy of Agriculture Sciences.
V. Desirable:

B. Under the Comprehensive Scheme for Cost of Cultivation of Principal Crops India.
1. Name of the post: Field Man

II. Essential Qualification:
(i) Minimum Higher Secondary passed with 45% and above
III. Desirable qualification:
(i) Rural background with knowledge of local language.
(ii) Graduate in any discipline.
IV. Pay Scale: 5,200/----20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,800/-
2. Name of the post: Computor
I. No. of post: 1
II. Essential Qualification:
(i) Minimum Higher Secondary passed with 50% and above.
(ii) Minimum one year Diploma in computer application from any recognized institute.
III. Desirable qualification:
(i) Rural background.
(ii) Graduate in any discipline.
IV.Pay Scale: Rs.12910/- (Fixed)
Note:
- Academic qualifications under item (i), (ii) and (iii) against the post of Director & Dy. Director are relaxable in case of in-service candidates
- Mere possessing the required qualification will not make a candidate eligible for the post(s). Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview/written tests.
- No TA/DA will be borne by the Centre for appearing in the tests/interview, if called for.
- Maximum age limit for the posts of Field Man and Computer will be 38 years as on 1st January, 2011.
- No. of post against Field man vary.
- The post of Computor is on Contractual basis with fixed pay.
- In-service candidates should apply through proper channel.
- The service of the regular positions will be governed by CPF Rules.
- Assam Government roster shall be followed wherever applicable.
- DD/IPO amounting Rs.100/- in case of general category and Rs.50/- in case of SC/ST candidates must accompany the application form in favour of Director, AERC payable at Jorhat and are to be submitted to the Director, Agro-Economic Research Centre, AAU Campus, Jorhat on or before the cut-off date, i.e. February 28, 2011.
